When Brittany inquired with me about shooting her destination wedding in Hawaii, I was pretty excited. When I found out it was at a Disney Resort in Hawaii, I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t even know Disney in Hawaii was a thing lol!

The most difficult thing I found with shooting is Hawaii was deciding where to shoot. Everything is beautiful. There are so many options from greenery, to mountains, waterfalls, you name it, it’s likely somewhere in Hawaii.

The Disney Aulani Resort was pretty amazing. The staff was great, and I can’t say enough about how great the wedding co-ordinator Nicole was to work with.

The day started off pretty early in Brittany’s parents amazing upgraded suite. The ladies from Reveal Hair and Makeup made sure everyone was looking perfect. We did our best to avoid the massive crows of people which you would expect from a Disney wedding, and did a majority of the photos in the most low key spots we could, which from my eyes ended up being the best spots anyways. Brittany and Kyle even managed to enjoy their first Hawaiian sunset together during out evening sunset photos.

The following day we headed over to Paradise Cove for some trash the dress photos. As we were getting in the water, around 200 people from the nearby Paradise Cove Luau came into the cove as part of the Luau show, so Brittany and Kyle got to really be under the spotlight.. Probably more than Kyle would have liked to have.

The shoot ended with some water splashing, Brittany getting blinded by salt water and then falling over, and topped it off with some good old fashioned champagne popping.

During our week in Oahu we did some travelling as a family, and checked out North shore, Waimae Falls and the Jurassic Park at Kualoa Ranch. Shockingly my wife and kids even got in the water and swam under the waterfall.

It was an amazing time, with awesome people. Thank you guys so much for trusting to bring me to capture such an awesome milestone!!
